Many people still say: 'Let us see what this day brings...' What if I could decide? What if I could choose my reactions, my energy, my beliefs and my emotions? What if I could beforehand already know my response to challenges and changes in plan? The amazing truth is I can. Having coached scores of people and interacted on many levels with corporates, it is clear that people who decide are the people who are the happiest, the most successful and the most consistent in getting their results. Don't wait and see, see and do!

How to miss opportunities I
Maybe you have met one of them: People who for some reason or the other keep their eyes fixed on a past event or a person from their past. They orientate their decisions back to that single event or person. They have good, even great sounding reasons for their inability to look ahead. The problem is that they miss beautiful scenery, great opportunities and the ability to be surprised. Creativity takes note of the past but grasps the new and exiting opportunities tomorrow offer.

How to never try your best II
Yesterday I mentioned the danger of limiting my potential to what I consider my best. Today I want to tackle that little word try. So many people I know "try" because they are fearful of setting themselves up for failure or to overcommit. The problem with that approach is that by admitting to trying, they have already accepted and prepared for failure. So let us not try but do, let us not do our best but do better - every day.

How to never try your best
A lot of well meaning teachers and parents have encouraged us to try our best. I have serious reservations with that concept I need to remember 'best' is the ceiling I put on my abilities, it does not equate to my true potential. My true potential will always be located far beyond what I consider to be my best. So, do a little better every day and be amazed at your growth.
